My first comment / thoughts… We really need to get together to try to build a force for Hip Hop in Knoxville. I know there are currently probably several shows a week, at different bars throughout Knoxville but no one is spreading the word. Every now & then, you’ll see a few listings in the Metro Pulse but that’s your best bet, and that’s slim pickings.

There are probably also Hip Hop shows put on at house parties on the weekends but no one except the few that happened to be there will ever hear about it.

I know Knoxville is not a big city but it is growing up and I think if we all got together, we reallly would have a force worth recognition.

I think there are many artists & fans in Knoxville and that the problem is in communicating all the activities and events. Well, hopefully this site will assist in bringing people together with a common interest, for a common cause…

Hip-hop is dead, but Christian Rap shines on!

So, I’ve put the word out to a good number of people and groups in the Knoxville area. I wonder how long it will be before we hear from another hip hop fan / artist…

Dirtnap.., thanks for the post (THE 1ST ONE!!) but hopefully you’ll have something else to say, a little more realistic, soon…

Lord Plat 2000, thanks to you too~!

If you haven’t seen or heard a Flashmob show yet.., you need to pay attention!

Flashmob ( http://www.myspace.com/therealflashmobband ) put on a FREE SHOW last night with DJ Simon Belmont ( http://www.myspace.com/wewillriseup ) at the World Grotto in Market Square and they blew the freakin’ roof off! The show started around 10:30 or so and lasted over an hour.
    It was hype as &#^@%#!!!

Bill Landry from The Heartland Series performed the opening dialogue of Dragonslaya half way through the show dawning a cape and a feather stuck in his hat. Again, this is Bill Landy I’m talking about! It was awesome~!

Anyways, I’ll certainly be posting information about Flashmob’s next show, hopefully sooner than later. Stay Tuned!

    PEACE OUT!

Anyone got any shows comin’ up…?

Haven’t heard from Simon Belmont or Black Atticus again but I gues their shows are still going on as mentioned above and on the Upcoming Knoxville Hip Hop Shows page.

I heard the Chris Rock comedy show at Bonnaroo was great! And the largest comedy show ever according to an attendee (I guess someone their said that).

I’ll post some more info on what I hear about the Bonnaroo Hip Hop scene later next week.
